Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Kansas City, MO. You will provide focused care for patients transitioning from ICU to stepdown units, performing advanced cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team.

The role requires 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, RN license, BLS and ACLS. Preferred PCCN and NIHSS certifications are beneficial. Travel nurses enjoy comprehensive benefits and a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred PCCN Certification
• NIHSS Certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac procedures
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Observe and document patient conditions and notify clinicians as needed
• Respond to life-saving situations per cardiac protocols
• Document nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risks, and lifestyle changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
