Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery/Same Day Surgery position in St. Helena, California. CA RN licensure, endoscopy experience, and EPIC proficiency are required.

The fast-paced unit handles pre-op, PACU phase II, and moderate sedation with 4x10 hour day shifts, starting ASAP for 13 weeks. Start times vary; 5:30am–11am. EPIC EMR experience is essential for seamless care.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Endoscopy experience required.
• Outpatient surgery and perioperative experience strongly preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective care.
• Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
• Provides patient and family education throughout the care process.
