Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR travel assignment in Bellingham, WA. The role requires 2+ years of cardiac scrub experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

You will work a 4x10-hour day shift (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) on a 13-week contract with cardiology-focused cases and periodic call duties. Epic EMR experience is preferred, and CNOR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage 7 days of call per month (evenings/nights).
• Cover weekend 72-hour call shifts (Fri eve to Mon 6:00 AM).
• Assist with blood product administration and monitoring.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 2+ years of recent cardiac scrub experience and current WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with occasional assignments in the Main OR when cardiac cases are unavailable
• 13-week assignment on a Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• Cardiac call required, limited to cardiac cases only
• Weekday call is one evening/night per week, starting at the end of the scheduled shift
• Weekend call is one 72-hour shift per month, running Friday evening through Monday morning at 6:00 AM
• Approximately 7 days of call coverage per month
• Preferred experience with Epic EMR, including use within the past year

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license (or compact) required; proof of license application accepted at submission if not yet in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac scrub experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred, especially within the past year
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor or charge nurse
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform surgical scrub duties for a variety of cardiac and vascular procedures, including AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral popliteal bypass, and endovascular aneurysm repair
• Additional surgical exposure may include general, orthopedic, neurological, gynecological, urological, and robotic-assisted procedures (including Da Vinci Xi system)
• Skilled in professional OR practices such as blood product administration, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, and Universal Protocol time-out procedures
• Trauma case experience preferred, including gunshot/stab wounds, MVAs, and amputations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Floating may be required within the health system based on operational needs
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to contract signing, with limited additional RTO available after start
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
• If a WA license is not yet active, start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks while licensure is processed

Pay

$2,526/wk (weekly pay)

Assignment Total (13 Weeks): $32,838

Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks): $131,352

• Weekly Wages: $1,280/wk ($32.00 x 40 hours/wk)
• Weekly Stipends: $1,246/wk
• Lodging: $110.00 x 7 days = $770
• Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,273 - $2,526. The $2,526 weekly pay listed in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range.
