Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum RN for a night shift assignment requiring Epic experience and willingness to float to NICU Level II nursery patients.

Active VA or Compact RN license, BLS/NRP, 1 year experience, and Epic charting are required; ACLS/NCC-EFM preferred. BSN preferred. Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12s, 36 hrs/wk over 13 weeks with weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Active VA or Compact RN license required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• ACLS and NCC-EFM certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• Skilled in IV therapy and blood product administration.
• Experience with central lines (CVC/PICC) preferred.
• Fetal monitoring (EFM) and NST experience.
• Postpartum care and couplet care experience.
• Newborn care including thermoregulation and phototherapy.
• Experience with high-risk meds (magnesium sulfate, pitocin, insulin drips, antihypertensives).

Responsibilities

• Provide antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care with assessments and education.
• Support couplet care model between mother and baby.
• Float to NICU Level II during shifts as needed.
• Assist with procedures (circumcision care, Foley) and breastfeeding support.
• Educate families on car seat safety and newborn care.
