Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in Virginia. Active VA or Compact RN license required, with at least 1 year of RN experience. On-site BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications are required. The assignment supports a 24-bed Med/Surg unit, 1:6 patient ratio, and use of Meditech EMR.

Night shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend, on-site drug screening, and a travel-friendly compensation package including housing and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required.
• Current BLS, HWC (on-site) and NIH certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 24-bed Med/Surg unit within a 250-bed academic community hospital.
• Unit serves patients of all ages.
• Maintains a 1:6 patient ratio.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
