Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in a 48-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio. Requires 1 year Med/Surg experience and a completed travel assignment, with NC or Compact RN license and mandatory certifications.

Responsibilities include starting IVs, Foley and NG tubes, managing EKGs and heparin drips, and documenting in Paragon EHR. Lodging and meals are included as part of travel compensation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license NC or Compact.
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
• At least 1 year Med/Surg experience with one travel assignment.
• Able to start IVs, place Foley catheters, and insert NG tubes.
• Experience with EKGs and heparin drips management.
• Active Nursys licensure verification; provide copies of certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg nursing care on a 48-bed unit with 1:6 ratio.
• Work night shift 7P-7A, 36 hours per week.
• Occasional float to rehab or ER for tasking only.
• Use Paragon EHR for documentation.
• No on-call requirements.
