Job summary
A travel nursing agency is seeking a Med Surg / Telemetry travel nurse to work in Marion, Illinois. The role requires an active RN license in Illinois and at least two years of experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing. Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of strong Med-Surg/Telemetry experience.
- Neuro experience required.
- At least 1 prior travel assignment.
- Recent EPIC charting experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to neuro and neuro-surgical patients.
- Manage a 22-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.
- Participate in the patient's treatment plans collaboratively.

NIHSS & dysphagia screening
Strong neuro assessments & clinical judgment
Basic telemetry interpretation
Initiation & titration of heparin gtts
Blood & blood product administration
Venipuncture & blood cultures
NG tube insertion & management
Foley & straight catheterization
Indwelling drain management
Strict I&Os
Stable drips (Protonix, Lasix, etc.)
Education
Active Illinois RN License
AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS
