Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for Neuro Med/Surg night shifts in Elkhart, Indiana. Start date 01/05/2026, 13 weeks, 36 hours/week, 12-hour nights. Travel employment with per diem and reimbursements.

Responsibilities include caring for neuro/medical patients in a hospital Med/Surg-Neuro unit, charting in Cerner, and occasional unitFloating with a 1:5–1:6 nurse-patient ratio.

Qualifications

• Active IN or compact RN license required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum one year Med/Surg or Neuro RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Medical Surgical - Neuro unit.
• Treats stroke, AMS, and standard medical patients.
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 (3x12 hours).
• Work every other weekend.
• Floating to other units may be required.
• Staff-to-patient ratio is 1:5 to 1:6.
• Uses Cerner charting system.
• Two additional 'level-loading' shifts required per 6-week schedule period.
