American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Critical Care Unit role in New Hampshire. The nurse will monitor ICP, manage ventilated patients, and support post-surgical neuro care on a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Required: NH or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and recent Level 1/2 trauma experience. Willingness to travel outside a 75-mile radius is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Active RN license NH or Compact required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Recent Level 1/2 Trauma experience within 2 years.
• Critical care experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
• ICP monitoring experience in SICU/NCCU.
• Experience caring for ventilated patients on vasoactive meds.
• Experience with line insertion and tube/drain management.
• Experience with ventriculostomies and EVDs.
• Experience with PA lines and waveform interpretation (CVCC).

Responsibilities

• Operate 10-bed NCCU, the only unit of its kind in Northern New England.
• Care for stroke patients including thrombectomy and TPA, and hemorrhagic cases.
• Support neurosurgery patients with tumor resections and brain/spine infections.
• Treat neuro-medical patients with meningitis, encephalitis, and neuro-muscular disorders.
• Work a 36-hour week schedule.
• Provide critical care nursing for complex neuro patients.
• Residence outside a 75-mile radius required.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Critical Care Unit position requiring ICP monitoring and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
• Critical care experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• ICP monitoring experience (SICU/NCCU)
• Experience caring for ventilated patients on pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications
• Experience assisting with line insertion and maintenance, including lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
• Experience managing ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVDs
• Experience with PA lines and waveform interpretation (CVCC)

Responsibilities

• 10-bed Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU), the only unit of its kind in Northern New England
• Primary Stroke Center treating ischemic strokes (thrombectomy, TPA) and hemorrhagic strokes (ventriculostomies, emergent evacuation)
• Cares for neurosurgery patients including tumor resections and brain/spine abscesses
• Cares for neuro-medical patients with conditions such as meningitis, encephalitis, and neuro-muscular disorders
• 36 hours per week schedule
• Provide critical care nursing to complex neuro, neurosurgical, and neuro-medical patients
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
