Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift travel assignment in a small, critical access facility in Vermont.

The position requires VT or compact licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years Med Surg/Telemetry with PCU experience. You will work 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, with no holiday time off and a potential per diem subsidy. A supervisory reference is required.

Qualifications

• Active VT or compact state RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience required.
• Strong PCU experience is required.
• Experience administering drips is required.
• At least 3 months of previous travel RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day on an adaptive acuity unit with Med Surg and Telemetry/PCU responsibilities.
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts.
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 Med Surg, 3:1 PCU as assigned.
• Travelers must float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice.
• Must be willing to care for higher acuity patients as necessary.
• No holiday time off (RTO) will be approved for this assignment.
