Job summary
American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift in California. CA RN license and 2 years MS/Tele experience required. Teaching hospital exposure and Allscripts charting experience preferred.
Responsibilities include managing telemetry, dysrhythmia care, IV therapy, and complex post-op care in a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 3x12 schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). References and certifications must be provided; on-site EKG exam may be required.
Qualifications
- Active California RN license required at time of consideration.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required.
- Previous charge nurse experience required.
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Allscripts charting experience required.
Responsibilities
- MS/Tele unit in a teaching hospital setting.
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Patient ratio of 1:4.
- Uses Allscripts charting system.
- Manages telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia care.
- IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, and hemodialysis prep/post care.
- Cares for patients with renal failure, CVA, ortho trauma, and TJR.
