Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment in an acute care hospital in Illinois. The role requires at least 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active IL RN license.

The position is a travel assignment with Cerner charting, 65-bed unit coverage, and patient ratios of 1:4-6. BLS is required; ACLS/NIHSS preferred and travel experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a 65-bed acute care hospital.
• 26-bed unit with average daily census of 8.
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Uses Cerner for charting.
• Provide nursing care for Med/Surg Tele patients (cardiac, renal, neuro, GI).
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• RTO must be discussed and approved with the manager during the interview process.
• Scrubs of any color permitted; no t-shirts or logos from other orgs.
• Free parking in unrestricted spaces.
• Located less than 1 hour from St. Louis and 45 minutes from Scott AFB.
