American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for night shift in Wilmington, NC. Requires 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience, active NC or compact RN license, BLS and NIHSS, with ACLS preferred. EPIC charting experience and telemetry skills are a must.

Job involves 4x12 hour nights, possible travel contracts, and hospital-wide floating. Responsibilities include caring for patients with diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, sepsis, and more, with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry, and Rapid/Code teams.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 1845-0715.
• Floating to other MS units and main campus as needed.
• Care for patients with diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, CHF, UTI, and other conditions.
• Scrubs must be navy blue or white.
• Contract staff may be assigned to disaster response teams.
