Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Ortho RN for a 13-week night shift contract in Nebraska. Requires at least 1 year of RN experience and Nebraska or Compact/NLC license. The role features a 12-hour night shift with rotating holidays and weekend requirements.

Candidates must have BLS, be able to titrate drips, and work with EPIC EMR. Housing allowance and travel reimbursement are provided in the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nebraska or Compact/NLC) required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Driver's license required to verify residency location.
• Two professional references: supervisor within 12 months and peer/supervisor within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• 32-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• Care for medical/surgical patients with post-op cancer interventions.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:5; aides 1:15 for sitter needs.
• Use EPIC EMR for documentation and orders.
• Titrate drips including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN.
• Monitor central telemetry and respond to changes.
• No call or standby requirement; rotating holidays.
• 12-hour shifts; nights, 0630-1900; 3 shifts per week.
