Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Ortho RN for a night shift surgical unit in Oklahoma. Requires at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an OK or compact RN license. Night shift schedule, 18:30–07:00, on a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour week.

Unit has 28 beds with telemetry; nurse-to-patient ratio 1:5-6 and supportive staff including PCTs and monitor techs. Eligibility includes BLS and state licensure verification prior to start.

Qualifications

• Active OK or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required.
• Current BLS certification through AHA required.
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Care for a general orthopedic surgical adult population in a night shift unit.
• Coordinate patient care with the team and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate discharge planning as needed.
