Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced RN for Medical Surgical Oncology/BMT in Columbus, OH. You must have 1+ year of oncology experience and Epic proficiency, plus an active OH RN license and BLS.

You will care for hematologic malignancies, participate in stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapy in a mixed acuity PCU/Med-Surg unit. Night shifts are 12 hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 3x weekly. Travel and local candidates are welcome; fingerprinting and Ohio credentialing may apply.

Qualifications

• RN license in OH (or compact license) at consideration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and chemotherapy certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year oncology experience; heme-onc preferred.
• Minimum 2 years total RN experience.
• Acute care experience current in specialty applied.
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Work in mixed acuity PCU and Medical-Surgical Oncology/BMT unit.
• Care for hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, MDS).
• Unit performs autologous, syngeneic and allogeneic stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapy.
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), 3x per week.
• May be scheduled Day/Night contract with rotating shifts every 4 weeks.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology/BMT position requiring 1+ year of oncology experience and Epic proficiency.

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of oncology experience required; Heme Onc experience strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required
• Acute care experience must be current and within the specialty applied to, with consistent work in the last 12 months
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skills required: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care/management, feeding tube management, and peripheral line care
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Responsibilities

• Work in a mixed acuity PCU and Medical-Surgical Oncology/BMT unit
• Care for patients with hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndrome
• Unit performs autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants as well as CAR-T therapy
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), 3x per week
• May be scheduled under a rotating Day/Night contract with shift assignments reviewed every 4-week period
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide direct patient care within a Bone Marrow Transplant/Oncology unit, utilizing rapid response protocols as needed
• First‑time travelers will be considered for this position
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel positions at this health system
• Requested time off must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to state credentialing requirements
