American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Bone Marrow Transplant unit in Columbus, OH. The role requires hematology/oncology experience and ONS chemotherapy certification, with 2+ years of RN practice including 1 year in hematology/oncology.

The night shift consists of 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00 to 7:30, with duties spanning stem cell transplants, CAR-T therapy, and intensive chemo care. Epic EMR experience is required.

Competenze

• Active RN license in OH or compact state in hand at submission
• BLS and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in hematology/oncology
• Current acute care experience in the applied specialty within last 12 months
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Mansioni

• Inpatient oncology setting within Bone Marrow Transplant care

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Bone Marrow Transplant unit requiring hematology/oncology experience and ONS chemotherapy certification.

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in hematology/oncology required
• Current acute care experience in the applied specialty required, consistently worked within the last 12 months
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central/PICC line care, port access and management, and chemotherapy administration
• Experience managing oncologic emergencies, sepsis, and symptom management such as nausea/vomiting

Responsibilities

• Inpatient oncology setting within a mixed acuity PCU and Medical-Surgical unit specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant care
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Care for patients with diagnoses including ALL, AML, CLL, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, MDS, and aplastic anemia
• Performs autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy
• Epic EMR experience required
• Administer chemotherapy and manage patients experiencing graft rejection or graft-versus-host disease
• Provide care for patients undergoing stem cell therapies and recognize abnormal lab values
• Utilize isolation precautions and PPE appropriately for immunocompromised patients
• Participate in Rapid Response Team activations as needed
• Must complete Ohio BCI & FBI fingerprinting promptly after accepting an offer, including lifetime background checks
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director and no coworker references accepted
• Former facility employees eligible to return as travelers after a 6-month break
• Current employees of the health system are ineligible for travel positions at this facility
• RTO must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
