Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel RN for the Medical/Surgical floor in Austin, Texas. The position involves 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week contract with potential extension. Initially backfill for MS RN with travel lifestyle.

Required RN license, BLS, NIHSS, and telemetry experience. The unit may feature Video EEG and other advanced equipment; teams include RNs, PCTs, and charge nurses, with patient ratios around 5:1 to 6:1.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• NIHSS certification beneficial.
• BLS certification required.
• 3+ years of nursing experience preferred.
• Epilepsy care experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide night-shift nursing care on Medical–Surgical floor.
• Manage diverse patient caseload in a busy hospital setting.
• Adhere to clinical standards to ensure high-quality care.
