Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring TN or compact RN license and prior specialty experience.

The 13-week assignment in Chattanooga runs nights 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, with a comprehensive pay package including lodging and meals/incidentals. Start date ASAP and a hospital-based Med/Surg unit with 30 beds and a patient ratio of 1:6. A strong team, leadership and learning atmosphere, and credentialing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required.
• Skilled in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Experience performing lab draws and IV starts.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted).
• One professional reference required.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit including wound care, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring.
• Deliver a positive patient experience, address patient and family needs, and elevate issues through the proper chain of command.
• Team environment with visible leadership, self-scheduling options, and a strong learning atmosphere.
• Unit recognizes staff through I-Heal cards, employee points, Daisy Award, and Bee Award.
