Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg travel assignment in Glendale, California. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, starting 11/09/2026, with a 36-hour work week and a shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM in a hospital setting.

The role requires an active CA RN license, BSN preferred, and Epic experience. You may float to Med Surg and Telemetry units as needed, with vaccinations possibly required and full credentialing support provided.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• BSN preferred.
• At least two years of recent Med Surg or acute care experience.
• BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor; Epic experience required.
• Ability to float to Med Surg and Telemetry units as needed.
• Vaccinations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient group in the Med Surg unit according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Assess data, identify care issues, and develop a plan with prescribed interventions to attain outcomes.
• Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; monitor progress and adjust care as needed.
• Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and treatment teams; provide health information and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record; participate in patient education and ensure smooth transitions of care.
