Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Sanford is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients. The role involves collaboration with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board.
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) to patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Plan and coordinate care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and nursing interventions.
• Practice within the Nurse Practice Act and relevant state rules.
