Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in West Union, Iowa. The RN will work on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit in a critical access hospital, performing standard patient care on a 12-hour day shift with 36 hours per week.

The assignment lasts 13 weeks with start dates in October 2026. Iowa license, BLS/ACLS/PALS per policy, and strong teamwork are required; EPIC experience is preferred, and occasional float to other units is expected.

Qualifications

• Iowa RN license required (BLS/ACLS/PALS often required).
• 2+ years of experience in Med Surg/RN field preferred.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit with patient ratios 1:3 to 1:5.
• Float to like units as needed at a Critical Access Hospital.
• Assist and train less experienced nurses and serve as charge nurse backup when needed.
