Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in West Union, Iowa. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and features 13 weeks of assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are expected. Pay package depends on shifts and location with tax-free stipends possibly included. TotalMed RN arranges travel nursing across facilities with strong support and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education as prescribed.
