Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Medical Surgical Combination unit within an acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation required every other or every third weekend
• Floating required based on unit rotation
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Paragon EHR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• Strong Medical Surgical competencies required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical unit at a Duke LifePoint acute care hospital
• Facility offers five major service lines including orthopedics, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, and emergency medicine
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
