Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Med/Surg assignment in Fargo, North Dakota. This 13-week shift includes rotating 12-hour days/nights in a fast-paced, 15-bed unit with Level 1 trauma center exposure.

You will manage admissions, work with Epic EMR, and float as needed, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 days and 6:1 nights. Lincensed RNs (ND or Compact) with BLS are required.

Qualifications

Active RN license (ND or Compact)
BLS certification (AHA)
Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience
Level 1 trauma center experience
Epic EMR experience
Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Perform initial admissions and provide care until patients transfer to their permanent unit

Float to other medical/surgical units as needed

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a fast-paced 15-bed admissions unit requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

Acute care Level 1 trauma hospital setting on a 2A Admissions Med/Surg unit
15-bed unit with all private rooms serving general medical/surgical patients ready for discharge from the ER but not yet assigned to a specific unit
Perform initial admissions and provide care until patients transfer to their permanent unit
Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
Uses Epic EMR, Zebra phones for communication, Omnicell for medications, and Aleris IV pumps
12-hour shifts rotating days and nights (0700-1930 or 1900-0730)
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
No on-call requirements
Float to other medical/surgical units as needed

Requirements

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility qualify for a local travel rate
