Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg LTAC position in Kentucky, requiring 2+ years LTACH experience and current KY or compact RN licensure. Night shifts are 3x12s, with 36 hours per week, on a 13-week contract. Prior travel nursing and ICU/tele experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years LTACH experience required.
• MS/Tele or ICU experience preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical and critical care nursing within an LTAC setting.
• Administer and monitor medications including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, antihypertensives, vasopressors, and thrombolytics.
• Manage complex respiratory, renal, endocrine, cardiovascular, GI, and neurological needs.
• Perform venous access care and IV therapy.
• Maintain patient safety and infection prevention/isolation precautions.
