Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN LTAC for a 13-week assignment in Durham, North Carolina. The role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts in a Long-Term Acute Care setting, providing high-acuity nursing care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of LTAC RN experience, current BLS, and-state licensure eligibility. ACLS may be required; travel benefits, weekly pay, and comprehensive medical coverage are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high-acuity setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS preferred and state licensure eligible.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and promptly respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, monitor vitals and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and case managers on treatment plans.
• Support mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs; supervise LPNs & CNAs.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility safety standards.
• Document all care activities in real time and participate in rounds.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
