Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Arlington, TX. You’ll provide obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal health, and collaborate with a clinical team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and exams.
Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn stabilization.
Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members.
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
Document care and interventions in the medical record.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
