Job summary

American Traveler in Kansas is hiring a Travel RN - Labor & Delivery for a night shift contract in Lakin. The assignment runs 13 weeks, with 3x12 hour nights and 36 hours per week, starting Sep 21, 2026, and includes float coverage to Med/Surg and ER.

You’ll work in a five bed ER with trauma bays, rotating duties with other nurses, and be supported by a charge nurse. KS or compact RN license, BLS, FHM and NRP are required, with at least two years in Labor & Delivery.

Qualifications

• Active KS or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery and support Med/Surg and ER units as needed.
• Charge nurse role includes assisting staff, making patient assignments, and other leadership duties.
• Orientation includes education specific to Med/Surg and ER areas.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration.
