Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Polson, MT. Start date 11/16/2026; 36 hours/week, nights, 12-hour shifts. Enjoy competitive pay, full benefits, and clinical team support.
The role requires 1 year of L&D RN experience, valid Montana RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. STABLE/ACLS preferred; other licenses may be required.
Qualifications
- One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
- Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
