Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Kalispell, MT. This role offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, and the chance to support obstetric patients across the facility.

The ideal candidate will have one year of Labor and Delivery experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification, with additional ACLS or fetal monitoring credentials a plus. Travel stipends, benefits, and ongoing clinical support are included.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards for obstetric nursing care.
• Perform other duties within labor and delivery scope.
