Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care to patients on‑site.
• Monitor maternal‑fetal status and respond to emergencies with evidence‑based interventions.
• Collaborate with obstetric team to develop and update patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EHR.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postnatal care instructions.
• Assist with procedural skills (induction, C‑section support, anesthesia liaison) as scoped.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies in all activities.
• Maintain readiness and safety of the labor and delivery unit, including supplies and equipment.
• Track and report metrics related to patient outcomes and throughput to enable performance visibility.
• Mentor junior staff and peers to promote professional growth and skill development.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Experience/Qualifications

• RN license in California with Labor & Delivery Certification.
