Responsibilities

• Monitor laboring patients and interpret fetal monitoring data; administer medications and interventions as prescribed.
• Develop and implement care plans; evaluate progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Document accurately and communicate across shifts; delegate appropriately and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain readiness for obstetric emergencies; respond to codes and support neonatal resuscitation and Level II nursery needs.

• Develop and implement care plans; evaluate progress toward outcomes and adjust plans as needed
• Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Document accurately and communicate across shifts; delegate appropriately and ensure a safe, healing environment
• Maintain readiness for obstetric emergencies; respond to codes and support neonatal resuscitation and Level II nursery needs as required

Requirements

• Active RN license to practice in the state of California
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
• Experience: at least two years of recent nursing experience in labor and delivery or related obstetric care; labor and postpartum experience preferred; Level II nursery (NICU) experience required
• Education: BSN preferred
• Specialty experience: acute care facility experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and 12-hour shifts; capable of working in a Labor & Delivery unit
