Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel RN in Labor and Delivery for a 10-week assignment in Ukiah, CA. Start date is 10/05/2026 with 36 hours per week on night shifts.

The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, AWHONN). Prior 18+ months in an Acute Care L&D setting is expected.

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS AWHONN certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care L&D setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery nurses provide care to women and newborns throughout antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages.
• Monitor vital signs of mother and baby during birth and assess for potential high-risk issues.
• Educate and support mothers and families after delivery.
• Perform duties to ensure both medical and emotional needs of patients are met throughout the birthing process.

Duties Responsibilities

Labor and Delivery Nurses (RN), also called perinatal nurses, provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of the baby. They are responsible for making sure that the medical as well as the emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the entire birthing process.

• Labor and Delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages.
• Monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth.
• Monitor patients for potential high risk problems.
• Educate and support mothers and their families after giving birth.
