Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Lakeview, OR. The position offers 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week, and an opportunity to impact obstetric care within a supportive team.

The RN will provide comprehensive maternity care, monitor fetal health, administer medications, and collaborate with obstetric teams while following hospital policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination
• Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilize mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document patient care and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Perform other duties within labor and delivery scope
