Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Albany, Oregon. You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, starting ASAP, with comprehensive benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, NRP, and prior L&D experience. You will provide care to mothers and newborns, monitor fetal status, and collaborate with obstetric teams to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as Labor and Delivery RN
• Active RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed obstetric medicines and treatments
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during procedures
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians and anesthesia and neonatology teams
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using established protocols
• Document care in the medical record accurately
• Participate in quality improvement to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state laws, and guidelines for obstetric nursing
