Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Florence, SC. This 12-hour night shift offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with support from a dedicated clinical team and a focus on high-quality obstetric care.
The ideal candidate has 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. Additional pref certifications are a plus.
Qualifications
- 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
- Valid RN license in SC per state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
Responsibilities
- Communicate obstetric procedures to patients and families.
- Administer prescribed medications and assist during labor.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during delivery and exams.
- Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn.
- Educate patients on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
- Document care and interventions in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for maternal/neonatal outcomes.
