Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Pratt, KS. This role offers 36 hours per week on night shifts, with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of L&D experience, an active RN license, and current BLS, with NRP required and ACLS/STABLE preferred. Join a dedicated clinical team delivering high-quality obstetric care.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in obstetric nursing care
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
• Provide postpartum care and newborn stabilization
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
• Perform other duties within the scope of labor and delivery nursing
