Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. The role requires Labor and Delivery RN expertise with 12-hour night shifts and a 13-week contract in Salem, VA.

Responsibilities include providing specialized care in the labor and delivery unit, supervising vaginal deliveries, monitoring OB medications, and supporting antepartum triage and post-delivery recovery. Benefits and relocation support may be provided based on assignment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
• Perform procedures such as vaginal deliveries, assist with vacuum or forceps as needed, and epidural placement.
• Monitor and interpret strip readings, manage OB medications, and assist with epidural placements.
• Support antepartum triage, post-delivery recovery, and circulate during C/S procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by adhering to unit policies and utilizing advanced OB skills.
