Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery night shift with L&D and mother/baby experience in Morganton, NC. The role requires an active NC or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications, and strong L&D expertise.

The unit includes 16 LDRP rooms, a C-section Suite, PACU, and a 4-bed Special Care Nursery; night shifts are 3×12 hours. Staff will float within the hospital with support from a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Active NC or compact RN license required.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
L&D and mother/baby experience required.

Responsibilities

Labor and Delivery unit with LDRP rooms, C-section Suite, PACU, and NICU nursing support.
Night shift schedule of 3×12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Float within the hospital; no float to other services outside Family Center.
Support from preadmit, discharge planner, maternity navigator, educator, and lactation consultants.
Use EPIC-integrated prenatal tools and Eat, Sleep, Console programs.
Participate in statewide and national maternal/infant process-improvement initiatives.
Local candidates accepted; returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year.
