Job summary

Healthforce is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit in Cambridge, MA. This 13-week assignment starts 11/16/2026 with weekly pay between $2,926 and $3,010 and guaranteed 72 hours every two weeks.

The role requires MA RN licensure, 2+ years L&D experience, BLS/ACLS/NRP, Epic EMR proficiency, and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) with an every-other-weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
• 2+ years of labor and delivery experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and advanced fetal monitoring certifications.
• Epic experience required.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; travel assignment for 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including monitoring maternal status and fetal well-being.
• Assess labor progress, manage pain relief options, and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed.
• Administer medications and variations in obstetric protocols per physician orders; support anesthesia procedures as required.
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns, respond to changes, and implement emergent interventions in collaboration with the obstetric team.
• Support postpartum and newborn care, patient education, and discharge planning; promote patient safety and infection control.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate changes to the care team.
