Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Ukiah, CA, delivering direct care to labor, delivery and postpartum patients. The role features 36 guaranteed hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and a start date of 10/26/2026.

Required CA RN license with NRP/ACLS/BLS certifications; 2+ years obstetric/L&D experience and Level II NICU exposure for day shifts are preferred. Housing assistance and 24/7 support are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in California.
• NRP, ACLS and BLS certifications are required or from an approved vendor.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum two years obstetric/L&D experience; Level II NICU experience required for day shift.
• Ability to work in an acute care hospital environment and a 12-hour day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients using the nursing process; monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes in condition.
• Assist with labor and delivery, administer medications, and support neonatal stabilization as needed; coordinate with obstetricians, anesthesia, and the neonatal team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to plan and implement care, ensuring patient safety and a healing environment.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed team members; ensure appropriate staffing and smooth handoffs.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, newborn care, lactation, and discharge planning; participate in patient and family teaching and support.
