Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RI RN for a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Florida. Requires critical care and interventional radiology experience, Florida license, and BLS. Travel assignment with on-site shifts and on-call requirements.

Responsibilities include procedural care in the IR suite, 1:1 patient ratios, and use of GE Biplane Suite and Meditech EMR. Ideal candidates have Neuro/Trauma IR exposure and no gaps in recent practice.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license required (compact license accepted).
• BLS certification must be current and not expiring within 30 days of start.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology experience required.
• Critical care experience is required.
• Neuro IR and Trauma IR experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Special Procedures unit (Interventional Radiology) of a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
• Procedural area staffed with 8-10 team members, including 5 RNs and 5 techs on day shift.
• Night shift coverage is on-call only; 1:1 nursing for procedures.
• Uses GE Biplane Suite and Mac Lab equipment;Meditech EMR in use.
• Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours, Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; call 6-8 days/mo.
• Every other weekend and holidays in rotation with facility staff.

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted, no certifications expiring within first 30 days of start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology required
• Critical care experience required
• Neuro IR and Trauma IR experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• Two professional references required for Florida candidates
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Work in the Special Procedures unit (Interventional Radiology) of a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Procedural area staffed with 8-10 team members, including 5 RNs and 5 techs on day shift

• Procedural patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses GE Biplane Suite and Mac Lab equipment
• Meditech EMR used
• Schedule is 4 shifts of 10 hours each, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirement of 6-8 days with 1 weekend per month
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with facility staff
• Perform nursing care for procedures in the biplane suite along with ancillary procedures in the Imaging department
• Typical procedures include neuro-interventions, angiograms, embolizations, IR procedures, biopsies and other ancillary procedures
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Facility has a bed capacity of 309
• Leadership team has a combined 40 years of experience at this facility
