American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least two years of experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Details
  • Clinic-based Interventional Radiology/Cardiology setting
  • Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization
  • Day shift schedule with 2x10-hour shifts per week, 0700-1730
  • May be required to take on-call shifts for the Interventional Unit as needed

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • IV certification required

Additional Information
  • Serves as circulator, scrub, or monitor technologist depending on assignment during interventional and catheter-based procedures

  • Monitors patients receiving moderate sedation, tracking vital signs, hemodynamics, oxygenation, and level of consciousness
  • Collaborates with radiology technicians and physicians to manage contrast allergies and sensitivities
  • Assists with patient preparation, positioning, and timeout verification processes
  • Performs sheath pulls and vascular access management as needed
  • Supports department operations including supply management, room turnover, and equipment maintenance
  • Works closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, Rad Techs, and nursing leadership
  • Provides culturally competent, age-specific patient care
