Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Boston, MA's IMCU/step-down unit. Start date September 21, 2026, for 16 weeks. You will work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week and be paid weekly.
The role requires MA RN license, BLS, and IMCU plus medsurg/telemetry experience. The assignment includes on-site hospital support, travel credentialing assistance, and dedicated recruiter support.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license and BLS certification.
- IMCU experience (min 1 year) plus 2+ years medsurg and telemetry.
- Neuro care, MIs, and trachs experience required.
- Ability to read telemetry rhythm strips; rhythm interpretation test on day 1.
- Able to work 12-hour hospital shifts and travel for 16 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for step-down/IMCU patients with complex medical needs.
- Monitor telemetry; interpret rhythm strips and respond to changes.
- Administer medications and manage care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist with ventilator and tracheostomy care; support neuro and cardiology needs.
- Document assessments and interventions in the EMR; ensure safety and timely escalation.
