Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a teaching hospital in Massachusetts. Active MA RN license and strong critical care background are required.

The role involves 12-hour night shifts, 1:2 patient ratio, and floating to PCU as needed. Candidate must have current BLS and ACLS, NIHSS, and be willing to work holidays. A housing allowance and travel/licensure support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required in-hand prior to start; compact license not accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of current Critical Care experience.
• Willingness to float to PCU.
• Experience with ventilators, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring required.
• TNCC certification preferred; BSN preferred; BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required.
• Must have own vehicle; permanent address required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing in a 20-bed ICU with 1:2 patient ratio.
• Cover 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with 36–48 hours weekly.
• Float to PCU as needed and cover weekends/holidays.
• No on-call requirements; participate in orientation and travel policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Critical Care unit within a 298-bed teaching hospital
• 20-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Scheduled for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Float to PCU as needed
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Provide direct critical care nursing with ability to float to PCU as needed
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled, including Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Requested time off must be submitted upfront and is limited to no more than 5 days
• Time off requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
