Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift contract in Iowa. The nurse will support high-risk obstetric patients in a regional delivery center with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and 36 hours per week.

Ideal candidates hold IA or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, AWHONN fetal monitoring, NRP, and have 2+ years of labor and delivery experience, including circulating duties. Travel contracts preferred, with driving license required.

Qualifications

Active RN license (IA or compact) required.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
AWHONN certification for fetal monitoring required.
NRP certification required.
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
High-risk and high-acuity L&D experience required.
Circulating experience required.
Experience within the past year at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month) required.
Multiple completed travel contracts preferred.
Valid driver's license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

Labor and Delivery unit at a regional medical center.
High-risk and high-acuity obstetric patient population.
Circulating role required.
Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hrs/week.
Every third weekend required.
No on-call requirements.
Uses Epic EMR, with EPIC STORK experience preferred.
Deliver professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary obstetric team.
