Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment in Iowa. Active IA or compact RN license is required, with 1–2 years of L&D experience. You’ll work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in a hospital-based Ob Gyn unit, with 36 or 48 hours weekly guaranteed and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Iowa or compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE.
• 1–2 years of L&D experience; travel experience welcome.
• Iowa SING background check required with full clearance.
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start.
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult).
• 10-panel drug screen including opiates.
• Titers for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Ob Gyn Combined unit duties.
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours weekly.
• Every other weekend required.
• No call requirements.
• Float to other units as needed.
• Patient ratios: 1:1 active labor, 3:1 couplet care.
• Operate intermediate fetal monitoring equipment and Philips TraceVue.
• Meditech EHR documentation.
• Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, including active labor.
