Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in California, requiring a CA RN license and Epic experience. This role requires active CA RN license, BLS, ACLS or ARC-ALS, and prefers BSN; at least two years of acute care and recent GI/endoscopy experience; Epic and Cerner documentation in employment history.

Work in the GI Lab with a mid-day shift typically 10:30 AM–8:00 PM, deliver nursing care, supervise staff, coordinate with the health care team, and participate

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS certification from an AHA-approved vendor required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• Minimum two years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last three months.
• Epic and Cerner experience must be documented in employment history.

Responsibilities

• Work in the GI Lab of an acute care hospital.
• Variable/mid shift schedule, typically 10:30 AM-8:00 PM.
• Delivers coordinated nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Supervises and directs nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines.
• Collects and analyzes patient data to determine diagnoses and care plans.
• Implements care plans, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe healing environment.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participates in discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
