Job summary

Mediko, a correctional healthcare provider, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care across Mediko facilities including assessments, medication administration, treatments and emergency response.

The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, maintain EMR documentation, ensure infection control, participate in quality improvement and travel to various counties as needed; lodging and meals provided; positions full-time.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in applicable state (or ability to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification required
• 1–3 years healthcare experience preferred, correctional setting a plus
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare/nursing preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, treatments and emergency response
• Document assessments and treatments in EMR and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals and correctional staff to develop care plans
• Ensure infection control standards and facility policies are followed
• Travel to Mediko facilities as required and participate in quality improvement initiatives
